not yet will be where the old woolworths use to be

Thanks. I'm not local, but will make sure I take a trip up when it is open. Was Woolies the Darwin shopping centre? Always worth a look in the QVC shop if I'm in the area, so having a HB there will be handy too!

Telford had Dinofroz for £1.49. My boys love them as they are mad on dinosaurs and also bits of plastic junk. They also had Nick Baker's animal track kit for £5.99. The boys love all sorts of creatures and are big fans of Nick Baker so they'll love going on animal hunts with the kit.

Yes, Woolies used to be at the top of Pride Hill (the station end), fronting onto the street, but you could also access it from the Darwin Centre - from memory, the floor above the one with the QVC shop on it!
  • I'm so jealous of anyone living near a QVC outlet shop!!

Mind you, it's probably best that I don't or we'd be even more skint! :rotfl: Do they ever sell Northern nights bedding reduced, out of interest?

I got some of the Jane Asher large rice spoons 49p each from HB. Absolutely brilliant for use as serving spoons or cake baking - well, anything really. Non-slip, heat resistant rubberised handles and good sturdy metal spoon part.

I would recommend buying at least one because they are just so handy and mulit-purpose - and for 49p you can't go wrong!

I am an ex-Salopian, now living in Sheffield, where there is no QVC shop that I know of... :( We have got two Home Bargainses though so some consolation!!

Well, I live in London, so either of the 2 QVC outlets are miles away (Warrington and Shrewsbury) and so are all the Home Bargains, but that's why the cheap hotel deals are so good. Book a room for £10 a night and make a mini holiday out of it! :T Our fave hotel was the De Vere, but we liked the Premier Inn in Warrington too. We'll go anywhere where there's cheap shops. Nearest HB to us in Bletchly, so we're planning on making a day trip there every couple of months to stock up.

(QVC do sell the Northern Nights bedding, btw. Very good prices on their bedding, I think)

Will look out for those Jane Asher spoons. They sound very good.
Forgot to mention the other day that they also had Swarfega hand cleaner (250ml tub) for 99p. Halfords is about £3. Great for bikers! This was in the Birchwood shopping centre in Warrington.

Also some nice zebra kiddie cushions £1.99

They had some brilliant flamingo ones in the Stockton store the other day, blue with a bright pink flamingo, the wing flapped up, and the neck was sort of like a handle, would have got one for myself if I wasn't skint :(
D'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't important
