I love Home Bargains. I really wish one would open in or near Peterborough (live just outside). Our nearest is Corby and it's quite small but everything is so well priced. The Woolworths store in Peterborough took up two floors....Imagine all the bargains HB could fit in there......:p

    I second this emotion.
I travel to Grantham from Peterborough, where I live, to visit the Home Bargains and the TK Maxx, as we don't have either of these stores.
    Peterborough is pants for shopping.

Update on the Princes foil wrapped chicken for sandwiches etc. - Coronation & Tikka.
They are AWFUL - I'm so glad we just bought one of each to try. I won't be purchasing these again.
If you like them please post as I know not everyone has the same taste.

Anyone know if there are any bargains in the B&M store next door in Newport - haven't been in there!

Thanks for the tip off on those - I bought the Weightwatchers Mayonnaise last week and it was disgusting!

I agree with the 2 posts regarding Peterborough. I e-mailed head office last year suggesting a store in the recently developed Orton Centre but received no reply.

Missed out on this last time around.

Back in stock at Preston Store

£1.99 for 100ml with free phone keyring.

Wouldn't pay the full price of around £25.00 but at £1.99 I got 2 bottles for everyday use!

    :D
Heading to Melbourne Australia ( hopefully Summer 2010 )

Does anyone know if they will sell easter eggs shortly ?? :easter_ba
    do they normally ??
Im hoping they will have Kinder or Lindt easter eggs :EasterBun
Yes, they usually sell easter eggs and they usually have the Lindt bunnies for £1. Last year a lot of the HB stores had ginormous Thorhtons eggs for not very much money. I can't remember the price now and didn't manage to get one but I remember there being a stampede for them in our local store

I will have to disagree on the chicken and sweetcorn variety. Very nice and packed full of good chunks of chicken. I was pleasantly surprised.

In Doncaster there were some Madonna perfume gift sets with a tin or something. Not sure of the price but they seemed a good buy for a present.

If anybody sees the jars of antipasto chargrilled borelli onions buy them. They are gorgeous. Seriously. Ive had 3 jars in a week!

I haven't spotted them in Cannock but I'll certainly be on the look out tomorrow - and filling my basket if they do :rotfl:
