Poundland Bargain Thread -

  • More about my calendar saga - they have finally appeared in Poundland, on a gondola end alongside the academic year 2020/21. Except the former is now made of recycled paper with a material covering and priced £3, and the latter just £1. I still like to keep a paper dairy alongside my electronic calendars, and in the scheme of things its not a lot of money and so easily spent on other things...but equally it IS 3 times the price I paid last year.

And for that reason, I feel a bit disgruntled with Poundland. Am less likely to make random handy-to-have-but-not-essential purchases from there in future.
No man is worth crawling on this earth.

So much to read, so little time.

I think The Works have several styles of 2021 calendars for £2.

I know what you mean though - I do understand that it must be increasingly difficult to stock the store with things they can sell for £1 and still make a profit, but I’m becoming increasingly grumpy to find things costing anything up to a fiver in there (and often the price is not clearly labelled, so you don’t find out until you are at the till).

I use this stuff as handwash
Then I hope you are dilluting it down by 50% on cost grounds alone? Because 500ml of handwash can be purchased from Lidl for 50p.
    I buy the Lidl version
