  • Has Poundland started merchandising for Christmas as yet? I want a new diary for 2021, but don't want to spend more than £1 on it.
No man is worth crawling on this earth.

So much to read, so little time.

I only saw academic ones in my local poundland in N. London but saw some 2021 ones in a Card Factory about 10days ago. They were £1 and regular non-academic ones. Sorry if not allowed to mention another store here.

Lidl has a 21 diary in their special offers this week, aimed at students so might be more than a pound.

Thanks, IIRC these tend to be the super-skinny ones, a week-per-page jobs. Poundland does A5 sized chunky day-per-page versions and that's what I'm after. I'm confident they will appear, it's just a question of when.

They have been putting them out later and later every year, I have found. Usually a month or two after school goes back.

That might be a Scottish thing, we have notebooks on "offer" at £2.49.

3rd September and Asda already has displays of mince pie flavoured gin liqueur (£10) as well mince pies (£1.20). Poundland fails to capitalise on something that is actually useful* and costs just £1.

*Gin and mince pies are a want rather than a need.

LouLou you are so often first on the case, could you keep an eye out for Maybelline's new thicker eyebrow pencil? I'm happy with the ones I've bought thus far (eta: Bourgeouis brand) but this seems to be the next step in tech.

Oops, I posted the last comment so late I forgot to mention this. There's actually another card game next to Flanx on the shelf, which appears to be a Top Trumps knockoff - "Ace Trumps" - probably American, as it says "Favorite" on the carton. Also £1.

The Poundland stores I've visited have been a bit slow at adding new makeup stock lately, but as always, if I see anything interesting I'll add! :)

Sad to say, the re-opened Trongate store has closed again, has been shut for a few weeks now. Was so pleased when it re-opened - hopefully it's not doomed.

I was in the Poundland in Bicester (Oxfordshire) last Friday, and one the staff told me that they would be putting out their Christmas stock starting Saturday 12th September.
