Has anyone seen Caramac bars 3 for £1 in Poundland recently, they are shown on the website but I have yet to see them in my local shop.1

The philadelphae I bought from Poundland a couple of months ago are doing well. I expect them to flower for about a fortnight in June, then I shall replant in bigger tubs before permanently relocating them in my back garden in a couple of years time.

Just need to see if they taste as I remember them, I am resisting at the moment as I have not walked enough miles yet today to qualify for a treat.

The thing about Caramac is that it does not contain any chocolate.
Tried some and although it tastes OK, I feel it is a bit sweeter than I remember from my boyhood days but as that was half a century ago don't take my word for it

Sorry to hijack the thread a little there, please resume normal service whilst I enjoy my memories of a very dear lady... and thank you for letting me reminisce6 -
Much as I love Poundland for both essentials and inexpensive treats, I really object to the amount of single / limited use plastic it sells, particularly its unnecessary use in children's toys (other materials are an option) and seasonal goods.
We've seen huge environmental benefits emerge from this pandemic, but unless the consumer flexes its collective muscle we'll see production of this indestructible rubbish reverse any gains that have been made over the last 2 months. Realistically, how can Poundland be encouraged to stop stocking it by its customer base? By this I mean something more than individual customer communications.
I go to Poundland as a thrifty shopper, (ditto charity shops) but I appreciate that very many people cannot afford alternatives. The aim is not to shut Poundland down, just to open its eyes to options with a lower environmental footprint as a preference. No man is worth crawling on this earth.
