Here are some more gardening items from Argyle Street, Glasgow Poundland (been giving my sister a bag full of goodies via her daughter whilst we're all apart!).

Also got myself this pillar candle holder (edit: on closer inspection it's a "speckled design", think it's made of ceramic) and a pillar candle in Coconut Breeze* 215g (other varieties available), £1 each.*Edit 28th April: Coconut Breeze doesn't give off a discernable scent, don't mind though, as I didn't buy it with this purpose in mind

There are also lots of seeds, bulbs, ready-to-plant roses etc and shrubs but none of them are reduced - suppose the gardening stuff is just coming into stores. They'll get reduced as we get into autumn, I'd assume.

Has anyone seen Caramac bars 3 for £1 in Poundland recently, they are shown on the website but I have yet to see them in my local shop.

The philadelphae I bought from Poundland a couple of months ago are doing well. I expect them to flower for about a fortnight in June, then I shall replant in bigger tubs before permanently relocating them in my back garden in a couple of years time.

Just that one word has brought back so many memories, all good as my Granny was a wonderful, wonderful lady.

I can't swear to the Caramac easter eggs but I do know that Cadburys made a caramel version of the chocolate egg.

The thing about Caramac is that it does not contain any chocolate.
Tried some and although it tastes OK, I feel it is a bit sweeter than I remember from my boyhood days but as that was half a century ago don't take my word for it

This would have been during the 70s. I looked them up online and it was the Caramac eggs, I remember the packaging so well. Not sure I ever liked the Caramac and really don't think I'd like it now, especially if it's been modified by Nestle. I would certainly have been grateful to my dear Granny as she had about forty grandchildren and always ensured that we had Easter eggs, a Christmas present and a card on our birthdays. Bless her, she wasn't well off and saved from her pension every week.
