Found this book in the Staines branch today - London Unfurled - which currently sells for £10 on Amazon but has £25 on it. Still sealed in cellophane.

It's an illustration of the banks of the Thames in London with all the buildings etc and opens out like an accordion. Would be a nice gift for anyone with an interest in art, geography, history etc.

A friend got one a few weeks ago in another branch near London so it may only be available in branches in the South.

just wondered if anyone in the North west had found this book yet - tried a few stores including Liverpool but no luck so far

I was unable to find it in Southern England, unfortunately.

Thanks! I missed out on the last promotion, but I doubt I would need 17 items from Poundland in the next 2 weeks. Perhaps my hoarding days are over :)

I spotted a couple of good buys the other day but didn't indulge in either: pots of roses (medium size, not miniature) and chilli plants. Both looked incredibly healthy with lots of roses / ripening chillies, but the chilli plants would need repotting fast. They thrive in south facing window ledges (sadly I have none).

I was lucky enough to find a "£2 off £12" discarded receipt in a trolley on Monday night (woohoo). The other items I bought I've mentioned before, but these were from Argyle Street, Glasgow:

IBA Escape To Madagascar Reed Diffuser (these appear in Poundland from time to time, I got my sis Oriental Fig a few weeks ago).

Lots of Frozen toys at the Xmas section. Bought the "Moving Characters" scene http://www.poundland.co.uk/christmas-disney-frozen-moving-characters Could have sworn I saw a Frozen "Fuzzy Felt"-type scene kit (not sure how I mucked that up, put this in my basket instead).

Easier for me to link to all the Frozen items on their website as there are so many: http://www.poundland.co.uk/baby-and-kids/disney-frozen
