Bought some of these for my baking stash today; I don't know what they taste like, but am sure the will be fine for a bit of Christmas chocolate alchemy where the visuals are everything.

Presumably (and I don't think Poundland are greatly interested in political statements!) Stamfordians just don't spend enough in Poundland to cover what I imagine will be the highish costs of the lease.

    Not Stamford's sort of shop?

Well it was only originally given a 6 month lease to start off with and it does get busy especially when the schools are out n at the weekends! I'm gonna miss the great make up bargains :( my nail varnish collection has now tripled since it's opening !! Please don't let it be a useless shop that no one will use everyday!!
I personally would love a home bargains type of shop but that will never happen !

Just so you know, they are imports with a white label slapped over the front. Sort of detracts from the "pamper" element unless the recipients happen to love a bargain too! :o. I tried it out yesterday and tbh it only gives volume when you brush it out.

I popped into the Stratford branch yesterday evening as I was intrigued by empty packaging in the Jane Asher cake decorating range when I went to a large branch in Essex on Saturday. The white and dark chocolate chips were there, as were the refilled piping tubes and tubs of icing. The empty boxes had stock in them in Stratford....edible glitter! Much cheaper than Lakeland, Waitrose etc. Having said that I resisted buying, I'm not sure that edible glitter is a good idea - I draw the line at paying for glittery poo!

Need a Poundland detox now, been in for 3 days in a row :D

As luck would have it, HUKD are talking about Polo Fruits, seems they're not a thing of the past either. In 180g packs at Poundland (also Poundworld, apparently).

i go to corby and grantham occasionally if hubby is willing to drive as bus service is useless here! but the others are not worth driving too as i would put more money in for petrol than what I would save!
