yes, those are the ones, Ive tried the milk chocolate and its amazing, just as nice tasting as Lindt imo and im fussy with the taste of chocolate. They are solid big chunks, much bigger than yorkie bar chunks

I suggest you buy one bar and try it before buying any as a present.

I like Lindt chocolate and hated the milk bar, so didn't try the dark. It tasted very greasy like old style margerine, to me.
Hubby likes Cadburys milk chocolate and he only had one piece of it. He reckons it's like cooking chocolate.
The rest ie all but 2 squares, is sat in the kitchen and any one who calls and likes it can have it.

    ^^^^ Caveat emptor, I guess.

If it tastes anything like the Lidl Fin Carre milk chocolate then it can stay on the shelf. Any other opinions to help me keep my pound in my pocket? :o

  • I have tried both the dark and milk chocolate and both bars of sweet heaven 300g chocolate at Poundland taste fantastic, Im very aware of cheap chocolate tasting greasy and lacking flavour and I thought these big bars of chocolate tasted very chocolatey . This aftertoon I passed round a bar between family to get their verdicts, including my husband, 3 teenage children and 2 of their partners, all of them liked the chocolate. That was the verdict of 7 of us.

Re Lindt chocolate: I saw this in Trongate, Glasgow, a few days ago: http://www.lindtusa.com/shop/white-strawberry-excellence-bar

    (White chocolate with strawberry pieces).

Edit: (Weds): I picked up one of those Sweet Heaven (is that a Poundland brand?) Milk Chocolate bars today. At 300g it is a bit of a monster, so hefty you could whack someone on the head with it and do them damage! I'm expecting to hate it as I'm a bit of a chocoholic but I'll update...

Another Edit: Sorry but I wasn't enamoured with the milk chocolate. Too "gritty" and it tasted slightly cheap, to me, anyway. Ended up throwing half of it away. I'm more of a Lindt, Green & Blacks, even Cadbury's, fan.

Some Poundlands (not all) in my city are doing "spend a fiver, get £1 off your next £8 shop" vouchers, too.

Got one of these bars today, it is indeed very chunky! Queued up, saw the poster in the window and left the queue to go and find some (after remembering the mentions on this thread), gave up then found them by the till in the queue I had just left!

Will report back on the taste shortly!:T
