This is a pretty garish palette! Not sure whether she's colour-blind or just being ironic with her Dainty Doll label :o

I don't know what I do wrong with earphones, however I try to wrap the cable to store it in my bag, the copper fractures inside the wire after a few months. I don't know if pricier ones would fare better long-term or not?[/QUOTE]

Pricier ones do not fare better! My son gets through them at a rate of knots, I've given up buying the expensive ones in the hope they may last longer. He now gets Poundland's finest, I dont tell him where they are from and he hasnt realised they are cheap ones either! Tbh I cant really tell the difference in sound quality between cheap and expensive and I dont think he can either!

The best ones I've ever had are Panasonics. Argos had them on offer on their checkouts at around £6. Mine've been wrapped, wrapped and tangled, bagged and tangled, etc, and are still going strong.
The atmosphere is currently filled with hypocrisy so thick that it could be sliced, wrapped, and sold in supermarkets for a decent price and labeled, 'Wholegrain Left-Wing, Middle-Class, Politically-Correct Organic Hypocrisy'.

I've always had the same problem with earphones until I got an Ipod (as a gift). The apple ipod headphones have lasted years. I've had to replace them once and, after much searching, found someone selling genuine ones on ebay so got them for around £6 or £7. Not great, but they have lasted.

My other half ties his earphones in knots so I won't buy him expensive ones. I got some Skullcandy ones with my cokezone points and they lasted well - especially for him. From the Poundland earphones we've had some duds and some ok ones. The ones with diamantes on were rubbish. Recently had some blue ear bud ones that lasted a good few months, he was pleased with the sound quality so will be looking for them again.

In the meantime he borrows mine so when I get to the gym I find there are no earphones in my bag and am forced to listen to Heart FM while trying to motivate myself.

I bought a set of Sony Fontopia earphones about 30 years ago. They were about £30 which at the time was probably about half my weeks wage. I still use them regularly and they still sound better than anything else I have tried.

But I am a great believer that if you buy the best you only buy once and I would rather save up and buy one really good item than go through ten rubbish ones.

Can I ask if anyone has seen any timer plugs in any stores? I really want one to turn my fan on while I'm at work :)

Today in Poundland I noticed they had some nice sized stacking boxes in bright orange, turquoise, green and pink (or black with lids if you prefer).
Lots more Nickelodeon DVDs including Clarrisa explains it all, & there was Fairly Odd Parents.
3 for £2 on Walkers Crunchy (and they are the 150g bags not the 100g ones which I have seen around at £1 a bag) which I managed to resist buying!
Small bottles of herbal essences shampoo (though the large bottles are on offer in Boots & Superdrug at the mo, so are probably better value).
A waist is a terrible thing to mind.
