When you are outside of the Oracle, turn left past BhS and John Lewis. Past Robert Dyers, cross the road carefully ;) . Then there is another shopping centre complex. If you go in there walk up past the information centre and TX Maxx is on your right - both the stores are the next two shops - hope that's abit clearer, shout if you need anymore info..

  • Durham Poundland had quite a few different "lifestyle" books yesterday. Including:

What Not To Wear Part 2
Trinny & Susannah's The Survival Guide
Queer Eye For The Straight Guy
    The Between Boyfriends Book

Also a couple for teenagers, though the names escape me.

I picked up a few to put in Christmas goodie hampers. They also had more of the Mamma Mia book.

They sound good, are they quite big books and hardback or paperback? Thanks. :)

If you are looking for good books, there was also The Rain Before it Falls in Reading in one of the two stores in the Broad Street Mall by TK Maxx. I'm pretty sure it was in the Poundland, but it *might* have been in the 99p store. But I think the 99p store is the one where I couldn't find a book section at all last time I went. hth

Sorry totally off topic but is lamb your last name? If so you have the same name as my uncle and I live in Berkshire! :D
Ooh I can think of something to keep it on topic, I'm going to Reading on saturday. Could you tell me where the Poundland and 99p stores are please? Are they close any of the entrances to the oracle? Thankyou. :)

    Hi
yes my surname is Lamb but don't have anyother relatives in berkshire other than my parents.
    The stores in Reading :
99p shop and £1 in broad street mall (shopping centre at the end of broad street near the oracle)- next to eachother!
    and

I have got the training nappies from the pound shop a few ttimes , they are really good for my daughter , they have 8 in a pack which have the sticky tapes on , or the pull ups where you get 6 in a pack. I find these ideal for the last few months as she only wears them to bed so a pack lasts me a week. I wouldnt advise them for babies who arnt toilet trained thow as they dont hold loads , but for my daughter they are ideal if she is still asleep when needing the toilet.
I also bought her yet some more dvds and cds from there today , so ive now bought her sooty , a day full of songs , bob the builder, and a few more dvds . And singing and party cds , which all made fantstic little prezzies fro her 3rd birthady and would recommend them for childrens pass the parcel presents. Ive got these from greater manchester stores an oldham.
