  • today we got a really lovely kids magnetic cutlery set. its orange, a nice weight and came in a velveteen bag n a box, would make a good pressie for someone with a child. A camera case, padded, good quality. If you have a little boy look out for the simpsons slime pot, its seriously good, my son has sat playing with it for over an hour now.
  • Just back from Poundland Motherwell and it was packed full of bargains today.

Managed to get my mitts on some great Winnie the Pooh baby stuff and Simples baby bath stuff :p

A pair of skull Signalex earphones in white, they also have pink and blue skulls too. As well as diamontee stud ones in blue, white, pink and black. Great for teens.

And Pavarotti and Jonathon Ansell's CD's for my nana's birthday;)

There was lots of other great stuff like silicon cake trays, rimmel and maybeline make-up and Coleen Rooney books:T

But theres no Gok books left :(

Durham £ land: - The Simpsons toy range looked very good value. Saw the slime pot but left it as there was a huge Simpsons bubble wand that looked GREAT fun for DGD and DGS. As a No Buying Toiletries person I'm finding Poundland a bit agonising - some lovely big bottles of VO5 and Palmolive shampoos, all sorts of Supersoft conditioners and lovely shower gels. Tubes of Radian B Ibuprofen Gel, 30g.

Books in Durham £land were a disappointing. There was a novel by Guardian columnist Lionel Shriver, but I'm a non-fiction person.
I love big conical latte style mugs and there was a thick chunky green one marked Tea, looks good. I finally bought a mesh chips crisper - I think I read these work well? Hope I'm right.
NAS Ribena and NAS Vimto stood out in the drinks line- lots of tempting WW cookies.
Tackiest thing I saw was a meerkat garden ornament, along with some bizarre sock colours. I steered clear after the unwearable socks I bought the other week. There were odd little butcher -boy caps too...

Mcculloch29 - if you mean the fawn-coloured open-weave baskets for oven chips, they're terrific. The slight curve means they hold contents[which don't need turning during cooking] clear of tray/rack and need no major cleaning.
    Excellent buy.
