  • They have some really good kids garden toys at the moment, sometimes the quality of the toys can be a bit dodgy for a £1 :rotfl: but not this time. Golf set, boom bats, cricket and tennis sets etc. Also xylophones shaped like musical notes that you can actually play tunes on :) Ben 10, spiderman and barbie armbands and beach balls, giant inflatable whales and factor 30 finding nemo sun cream spray. Also multipacks of bubbles (8 I think) good for party bags.

In the new Staines branch they had loads of mini gift boxes. They are called:

Classic Rugged Labrador outdoor Dependable 'The emergency blanket' / 'hooded poncho & survival kit'
Original Famous Teacher Family Brand 'proper penmanship kit'/ 'Old fashioned lemonade kit'/ old fashioned Rock Candy kit'
The Artful letter 'A stationery kit with 3 rubber stamps'

There were also 2 other kits, something to do with breakups!

You can google their names and see whats in them. Seem like cute little pressies. Priced £3.99 -£4.99 on the back of the boxes.

Also, there were the packs of fun candles and one of the packs had George Pig candles in them. Great for kiddies birthdays this summer!

Poundland just opened in Waterlooville (old Woolly's store) I took a quick look round & got A&H Sensitive toothpaste for DH & Whitening one for me - usually about £2.80 a tube! I also saw some hair colour there - has anyone tried it? Is it any good?
I' m going to take a longer look (without DH!!) during the week - fingers crossed for some more bargains! Did notice that Wilko's round the corner was much quieter........!

And WH Smith's opposite has 99p offers now :D

When I popped in my impression was not positive, thought it made Lidl look like Waitrose

But then I'm a bloke and hate the whole shopping "experience" anyway, go in, grabbit, go out

Ah well Farway - maybe its a girlie thing - we need to consider all our options. Thanks for the WHS tip though - maybe they've got some good paperbacks on offer as the local charity shops are getting way too expensive - Think they've all been watching Mary Portas, but that's another thread

Lots of bargains in the Reading store today... 9 pack McCoys assorted flavours, HP BBQ sauce, Heinz Light mayo squeezy large size, Heinz salad cream squeezy large size, Mattessons smoked pork sausage (so weird to see on the shelf felt like it belonged in the fridge but nope, 227g), cadbury fingers 250g (100% extra free, so double layer basically), lots and lots of Toy Story and Disney Fairies goodies, oh finally saw those sea pals people have been talking.
