    Hi,

Not really a Pound Land bargain, but this link may be of interest:

    http://www.startups.co.uk/6678842908708476900/pound-shop.html

It's an article on how pound shops work - and if you're so inclined - how to start you're own!

Thought it might be of some interest,

    S.
  • Not a bargin but just a heads up on what to avoid (possible new thread?) from poundland.

Just got a white mini mp3 speaker that plugs direct into mp3 with a jackplug & it's pants, when pluged into my ipod it's very loose and needs the slightest movement before it comes out of the jack and the sound from it is not much better than your headphones on full blast...avoid, waste of a pound.

On a good note they had a double pack of jammy dodgers though.
    I hate migraines.

There were quite a few items in the BIONSEN range at the Ellesmere Port store. I like the deodrant which is quite dear in Boots but obviously of good quality (and aluminum free). Whilst they didn't have any deodrants in PW they had a few different shampoos and conditioners as well as shower gel and handwash.

Are they the same size? I buy lots of padded envelopes from them and some are 10 in a pack, others, slightly larger at 8 per pack- which has confused me before

Definately the smaller ones. You'll probably find the 8 packs have gone down to 6.

I thought I had a brilliant buy - phone car charger for my Samsung and got it home, cut open the almost impenetrable packaging to discover it is slightly too big for my mobile - must be older model...
