Brilliant - that's a fantastic deal alright. I'll be sure to nip into Poundland for a few of these :)

Damn it! I just bought one for £10, although the one I got is HD, supposed to be better quality for blu-ray but I'm sure it can't make that much difference. Oh well, that's just life.

    HDMI cables are HD.

My local, Wythenshawe Gtr Manchester had on Thursday:

    3 x Cadbury Creme Eggs
    After Eights
After Eight Santas (like Lindt Santas in foil, in green, a large size)
Neutradol and Air Wick Air Fresheners
    Maltesers and Toffifee (mmm!)
Terry's Chocolate Oranges (milk chocolate, hearts on box, looks like Valentine's stock)
'I love Mum' floral cup and coaster in a box, nice to put away
    Rechargeable NiMH Batteries
Asda Extra Special wrapping paper sets - holographic silver, with a length of ribbon and a nice gift tag. Priced £1.88. Suitable for women only as it shines pink!
Mops with either string or absorbent ribbon heads
    Mop bucket with squeezer
A nice selection of necklace, earring and bracelet sets, very pretty and not at all cheap looking.
Women's socks - Betty Boop, Little Miss and Disney
Men's socks - 3pk in black with coloured stripes - good quality

My next nearest branch, Manchester City in the Arndale Centre is much bigger and has 1.5kg sugar, 8 eggs, 4pint milk, and lots and lots of DVDs and books, noticed a lot of X Factor and Dancing on Ice DVDs and hard back autobiographies.

I've also noticed both branches selling Olay products - great for gift baskets and hampers - speaking of which, gorgeous large handled hampers in the Wythenshawe branch, obviously designed for Easter but would look brilliant all filled up and covered in cello as a gift.

You can get 12 eggs for a pound in Iceland. Or 6 free range for the same. You can also get 4 pint milks in Iceland and it actually lasts a week!

Real Shaving Company products in our local poundland. Has to be the best quality shaving stuff I have ever used. A mixture of the shave cream and gel together is amazing - much better than all the other brands - Gillette, King of Shaves, Nivea etc - and I have tried them all!!

It is available here on Amazon for £3.99
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Real-Shaving-Professional-Shave-Sensitive/dp/B000UVNJQ6/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=drugstore&qid=1269718953&sr=8-4

Definitely worth the money. :o - For a quid!!

I bought my Dad one of these Ipod speakers for Christmas from Amazon and we were all very inpressed by the sound quality. I'm amazed to see the whole set for £1 now! Oh and the Darlington branch has both silver & pink versions in stock.

If this has already been posted, my apologies.

BUY ANY 3 'GARDEN' PRODUCTS and choose a free seed pack[good seeds - sweet pea etc.]

It was actually a check-out girl who flagged this up, giving me a pictorial A5 flyer, kept at tillpoints. I then re-jigged my shop - Poundland's excellent solar lights count - for sweet peas, dahlia, mediterranean veg. selection as freebies.

Explained it to another chap with fold-down trellis edging, gloves - and he happily did same.

Yes I picked up one of the leaflets today and nearly chucked it out as the coupon is on the reverse! Glad it includes solar lights! thanks

I just popped into my local today and asked about the free seeds. SA checked for me and said it had just been a very short limited offer. Shame.
