  • aww thanks hun :D
im not allowed to say what i think so ner!:p
  • Is it Wednesday the ACM changes?

Went to Cheshunt the other day - they have JK files a-plenty! :p

OH said my face lit up when I saw them :)

    Nothing much on clearance :(

Went back for some more JK files and some
Model me but 250 pts voucher kept beeping
    SA told me
i: it knows you have enough points to pay for it
ii: it knows I split the transaction to get the points [yeah right]
iii: you can't use 250 points on something that costs £2.49

    So I left it!

Went to Hoddesdon and found Lil-lets for 44p. Went to the only till open, she said, "you can't get points on 44p" so I said, "but I want to pay with points". She put my card in and her eyes nearly popped out of her head!!
    :rotfl:

Back at the campsite OH broke a nail, he said "have you got any nail files," I think being a bit um, sarky? ;) So I said "nope, make do with clippers, don't dare to touch my file (12 ) stash!" :rotfl:

Plus he used the scissors from the no7 [mascara] GWP to open a carton of milk

He better watch it. If it wasn't for the fact that I don't drive and need him to drive me to places where there is Boots.....! ;) I mean! Expecting to use something from BOOTS?!
  • Just to say I forgot to add that Chester had some of those Johnsons bags for £2.50. Picked it up and thought 'Yes!- a bargain' but then, what would I do with it. LOL . Put it back for those with little ones.

I am going to be on the look out for those Simple vouchers cos there are no more reduced Botanics bits n pieces and my daughter is quickly getting thru my Botanics wipes stash. :rotfl: Doesn't she realise you're not supposed to actually use this Boots stuff. :D
  • :rotfl: hahaha how dare he lol

havin said that i had to raid whats left of my stash for a b-day pressis yesterday:( nearly cried
im not allowed to say what i think so ner!:p
  • I thought about using some points the other day.... was almost wiping a tear :(

In case anyone's interested in what the No7 GWPs are worth, I just sold the pink box, the blue summer GWP and the summer nails kit that we got for £2.50 in one auction for just under £15  after paypal/postage costs and ebay fees. It had 14 watchers!

I also sold a bunch of samples in the ROC bag you got free for signing up on their website for just over £8 - the samples were a little one of benefit eyecon, a few garnier, nivea and neutrogena sachets, and a few random bits (p&p, p&p day cream, time resisting day cream, hand saviour and other no7 hand cream) and I paid not a penny for any of it! It had 14 watchers as well (maybe the same people?)

Three 17 GWPs (the cherry lip one, the eye shadow one and the bronzing one) sold for £4.20 and 2 olay TE hand creams sold for £3. Not that much, but it's all money in the paypal account for stuff we got free!
;) One of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you! ;)
  • I noticed 'always' is on 2 for 1.50 if any needs to use their pc 'half price' vouchers!
  • Not very interesting shop in the Metrocentre today - not a lot of bargains. spent quite a lot of money on not much really!

Expert bikini hair removal - £1.32 but got 100pts with ACM voucher.
2xdiet coke - they're 99p each but 2 for £1.50 and I buy a lot of this anyway so thought it was a bargain!
No7 GWP - the orange & blue box from earlier this year that I missed - cost me £6.50 but I really wanted it!
Green & Blacks choc, a pressie for my friend, £4.99
Mitchum deod £2.65 - no reduced, so bought the full price one but used 50% and £1 off vouchers.
4x JK nail files - hurray, I found some!

Cost me £22.46 after deductions, got back 1256 points. Curious thing is my receipt says total saving today £2.15 including £1 health club save. I didn't buy anything that I would get money off for in the health club, or not that I can see anyway. Any ideas anyone?? Does the mitchum £1 voucher show as health club?

If anyone's interested the very small clearance shelf has a few smiley sets reduced to £10. I really didn't want one, but thought someone on here might. Also had my first SS tills experience when my bro paid for his lynx deod (tipped him off about the 2 4 £4). Till was weird, it tried to charge me for my H&B mag! SA had to do something to take it off!

No Johnsons bags, no reduced TS, no reduced botanics, and decided I really couldn't justify a 3rd No7 GWP!

2nd shop was clinique - bought anti blemish cleanser and toner (which I use anyway) and got GWP. Paid with points, which I found really hard to do!

Planning a trip to Kingston Park one night on my way home from work as I've never been to that boots before, but think I'll wait til after changeover day, as most of the vouchers I'll use will still be valid then - I've got the bargains I want from this month's ACM vouchers!

Roll on Wednesday, here's hoping there's a load of new glitches!!

  • Anyone read Martin's latest blog about hobbies? http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=13113699#post13113699
Got me thinking: what do you class bootsing as? Is it simply making the most of necessary shopping anyway, is it just simple moneysaving, or is it an actual hobby??
