Thanks so much for taking the time to reply - that's really useful particularly the part about it being on Watchdog. I will give them a call today.

Glad you got it all sorted out, but just to verify the watchdog thing (it will now be last weeks programme as this weeks happened thursday after I posted).
The aspect of the programme I was talking about was where Martin Lewis was being asked if he had a free gift which was given as part of a purchase and it went wrong (in this example they were using a cashmere sweater which came free with a pair of silk boxer shorts) would he be entitled to an exchange/to complain? the answer was yes, because the item was either not fit for use or not as described. In your case, the item offered was not as described, and so you'd be entitled to complain/some sort of an exchange or refund.

Can anyone help I have received my last 2 Marie Claire magazines without the freebies that were advertised in previous months mag.

La Source 50ml handcream and Divine chocolate, when you are on subscription do you not get the freebies?

With the last issue the one that should have had the chocolate there was a letter that said to cut subscription costs they were not going to include the freebies. I have a 12 months sub with them so am pretty disappointed with them. I don't know whether we can do anything other than cancelling and hoping they give us the unused portion of the subs back.

Thanks twig1 DD usually opens the magazine before me and throws away all the rubbishy bits, she must have thrown this letter away. I am pretty disappointed and feel the same way as you.

    Thanks

I'm very disappointed about this and think i will give them a call about it instead of sending a letter as planned. I didn't get anything with the magazine and had i known i wouldn't get free gifts in the future there is no way i would have taken out the subscription. The cutting of subscription costs isn't being passed on to me as i paid my 12 months upfront so why should i miss out on the gifts.

  • Not strictly an offer this, so apologies in advance, but it is worthwhile especially if you're giving gift subscriptions this Christmas.

Go to http://www.magazine-group.co.uk/partners/marie-curie/ and then click on the 'shop now' link and Marie Curie get £7.00 for every title you buy.
By signing up to a magazine subscription with Marie Curie Cancer Care you will be helping us provide high quality nursing, totally free, to give people with terminal cancer and other illnesses the choice of dying at home, supported by their families. Marie Curie Cancer Care will receive £7.00 for each subscription ordered.
I've got a couple of magazines I give as Christmas presents so rather than go through Quidco this year I'm going to do them via this page and make myself feel a bit more charitable. :A
