Game UK only mentioned previous details offered. They did not at any time state specific details on what would be available for purchase on special offer. Any assumptions made would therefore not be the responsibilty of Game. Game have however offered various products at a discounted rate and have therefore lived up to their advertisment. Any complaints made would therefore be taken into consideration for future promotions as suggestions only.

Thanks Joints. If you could also bring it up and the GAME managers meeting tomorrow morning that would be great.

They said that they would be offering '24 hours of fantastic bargains.' I therefore assumed that I would be finding just that, but found them sadly lacking. They should just have had a normal 'sale' instead of giving us all of the hype.

Um don't blow me head off but how can you complain about a sale? because there is loads of sales on but all there stuff is crap and not what i want

Well I emailed them to tell them how I felt about the sale mainly to say that this seamed to be aimed at older people and not for the under 12's.

I am off to do something more exciting than all this and get my life back._party_

    Now where is my iron:rolleyes:

The Oxford dictionary states fantastic as being (even in its informal sense as being extraordinarily good or attractive which in this case the offers have been relative to other retailer offers. Strictly speaking there are no guidelines to define a normal sale or a hyped one. That is based on the perception of each individual.
  • Pretty poor sale in my opinion. Only thing that interested me was Football Manager 2005 at £4.99. Missed out on Play selling it for £7.99 a week or so ago so was happy to get it even cheaper.

Truscott we'll have to be careful what we say on this board about the staff behind the counter. Sounds like we have the GAME MD (Joints, the man with reading the dictionary at midnight) posting in the forums, he may take things on board and make some redundancies
  • Joints you're the only person I've noticed who is actually happy with the sale. If you are involved somehow with GAME, which I am almost convinced about, please direct them to this thread, and a similar thread on thedvdforums.co.uk.

The sale was a joke, nothing 'spooktacular' about it at all, in fact I could think of a four letter word other than spook to describe it TBH. Oh well, what d'ya expect from a high street store. I'll stick to proper internet stores in future.
