Thanks for all your help , i only want her on good brand food for the first 6 months. Its just she is very small for her age, and very much on kitten milk again.

junior j i think youre absolutely brilliant. in the 'now' you are taking responsibility for your kitten but in the long term you are setting yourself a goal for yourself. your mum and dad should be so proud of you. i dontknow you from adam and i am old enough to be your nana and i just think its not often a 16 year old thinks this way. again well done. You should be really proud of yourself.
keep posting and let us know how you are getting on. This is a brilliant site
and you can get a lot of support from it.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

I'm looking to do something like that too... so i can move in with my boyfriend! I'm gonna go to sixth form this september and i'd really like to get a job as i'm not entitled to EMA either.. but everyone seems to be full with workers now the summer jobs are here... even though i applied early this year for some!
If you find anything let me know... i'm so eager to earn my own money and pay for my own food and stuff even though i don't cost much to feed!
I hope you find something that's right for you!!!

Hiya!
I started year 12 last year and I applied for jobs in the last week of August and was offered 4 jobs by the first week of September, so that's defo the time to be applying.
I don't know whether you have just been asking if they have jobs or actually filling in forms etc, but the best thing to do is write a good generic CV as soon as you get your GCSE results (they really prefer your CV to have them on!) and list around 15 shops you could work in, namely clothes and food, then address envelopes to each shop like - The Manager, H & M etc, and pop a CV in each one. Just make a day of going round handing them all out and remember to take a couple of spares in case you see somewhere you forgot.
Most places prefer this method but one or 2 have a form they prefer to give you, like Boots. Also, if any big shop is opening near you soon, get in there quick as they'll need lots of staff.
Good luck

heya! We're in the same boat nearly
I am 16, starting college in september doing BTEC National Diploma in E-media and Games Development. I have found a job that is perfect. It is at the Orange shop (telephones lol). 15 hours a week, weekends only. I really need money for travel. I applied online last monday so I am just waiting for them to reply back. Actually..waited I am going in tommorow to just poke about a bit and see where I can get to.
Good luck hun! xx0 -
Sorry , i have not posted , i totally lose the url and googled it , could i find it (spelling mistake aach)
But i have saved it to my favourites now!
I have just gone and earnt myself 30 pounds from babysitting , not bad , that paid for some college , stuff , although my mum and dad are getting the expensive stuff , college bag , travel and stuff.
I have also saved up 5pounds in 2 pound and pounds coins, not much but i only just started it! Im not saving for anything in particualar But it is nice to have the money there.
I also have another pot for myself money , like when i found a bargain nice 2 pound top ,
And great news , my friend is taking on my kitten with her vet (she is entitled to the pdsa) so i will be paying just half the amount i would have to with my original vet , and i have found a good quality CHEAP type of dried food for my kitten so that is saving me 4 pound a week alone!
Thanks again all x
