o2 Pro rata Billing

Hi i need some advice on my o2 contract billing. I took a £45 contract out on 31st of july, and my billing data was set as 4th of august so i understand that today i have a £51 bill due to the 4 days of pro rata. but i rang today to change the data to the 16th so the payment leaves my account on the 30th. but this includes 12 days of pro rata due to the extended period, but what they are telling me is that it wont cost me anymore over a period of 18 months when at £45 a month over 18 months comes to 810 and it no longer does due to the pro rata. so basically how am i making the money up?

Because when you complete the contract, the final bill will be pro rata too (ie not for a whole month)

I just thought do you mean my last bill will be shirter by 4 days, or 16? thanks

If you give in your notice to end on the last day of your 18 month contract, then you will only pay for 18 months. If your billing date gets changed to the 16th, then the last bill will either be for a pro rata short month, or full a full month to be followed by a credit payment for any line rental you overpaid.

You will be able to follow this as the contract moves along as each bill will clearly show the exact dates covered by the line rental part of the bill.

So at £45 a month is 810 and if i didn't incur no additional charges throughout the contract it will still be 810 regardless of the pro rata bill date change?
