which mobile upgrade to get on three network
I am due an upgrade on three network and am unsure of what to get.
I have narrowed it down to the:
LG viewty
Nokia N95 8GB
Sony Ericsson C902
The LG Viewty is swaying me at the moment, but I have seen numerous mixed reviews on it. I still favour it due to its touchscreen, ability to play divx and good camera and video spec. However, I have heard reliability, software and lack of updates are a problem.
I have always had nokia phones
Can anyone recommend any of these phones?

I can thoroughly recommend the n95 8gb. Mine has 900 music tracks, 60 photos, 3 full movies and the entire 1st series of 'Heroes' (23 episodes)-all in mp4, 9 pod- and videocasts, geo-tagging with very easy upload to Ovi, half a dozen games plus a couple in n-gage, and I still have 2gb free... I could go on! The battery lasts for 2 or 3 days, and without use over a week. The wi-fi is brilliant-I wouldn't get another 'phone without it. If you'd like a bit more than a phone then this is it.0

the viewty looks nice but thats about it - the touch screen is absoulutely crap - u press the key and are lucky enough to get a response from it - how on earth could they release this phone with such a touch screen crap interface
go for the n95 8gb black - it aint touchscreen but has a lot more to offer0 -
I phoned yesterday about an upgrade and was slightly disappointed that to get a N95 or Viewty i'd have to upgrade to a 18 month contract and pay for the handset which previously i've never had to do. Currently i get 500 mins and 100 texts for £20 but would have been happy to up it to £30 if it meant getting either of those phones included without paying up front for the handset. I'm generally not too bothered what the phone is like as tbh it's mainly used for calls, i've got a great digital camera so the phone part literaly never gets used, and only use the web for football scores!! I just like to make sure i'm getting the best possible deal. I've got a 6500 on it's way but not sure whether to send it back and try them again.......0

send it back and ask for your PAC - tell them you found a better deal at x,,y or z they'll offer a better deal even if its not there and then.0

They're currently offering a Mix & Match 700 (i.e. 700 'credits', one credit is either one minute of phone or one text, as well as 300 extra minutes for calling other phones on 3 network) for £21/month for an 18 month contract. Among the phone options are Nokia N95 8GB for an extra £9 per month, or Nokia N95 for extra £5 per month.
That's £30 per month in total and nothing up front for a phone, but its still an 18 month contract.Competition wins: Where's Wally Goody Bag, Club badge branded football, Nivea for Men Goody Bag0 -
I eventually went for the N95 8Gb.
Had to stay with them for another 18 months rather than 12 months to get this handset. But wasnt fussed as I retain the £5 per month deal for 300xmins, 150 sms, 25 mms, 25 video mins.0 -
Hi arun76
Are you saying they gave you the N95 8GB for nothing? I'm currently on the £15 a month 500mins contract with the fixed term finishing in Sept.
They wouldn't offer me anything that wasn't publicly available. I want the N95 and don't mind signing up for 18months - just don't want to pay more than I am now.
Did you have to fight them to get it?
Thanks0 -

Yes i did get the N95 8gb free as long as i signed up for another 18 month contract. I could have got the standard N95 Silver for free on a 12 month contract. I do have two contracts with them though both at £5 per month.0 -

My contract is ending next month. I have the Direct VTT 500 £5 per month, asked them for the above deal from Three - all they would offer me was a 6220 Classic - no chance of the N95 Silver without a big fee. Is it because you have 2 handset contracts. I had two, only have one now.0 -
got some further offers now, they are offering the 6220 classic for a one off £20 charge 18 mnth contract.
I was interested in a handset with wi-fi, so now they are offering the new blackberry-like Nokia E71 for a one-off £30 charge on the Direct VTT 500 £5 per month on an 18 month contract (though I can upgrade again in 14 mnths and 10 days - why did they choose this amount of days??? LOL)0
