Just 1 quick point, if your drivers side is parked against the pavement you could also receive a fine as it is facing the flow of trafic and as such should be facing the other way.Totally Debt Free & Mortgage Free Semi retired and happy0

Its similiar to the parking on the kerb and pavement laws, i've never seen it enforced.
There are many roads around here where if cars parked correctly on both sides only one car could fit down a main road. So you get cars parking on the pavement down the entire length of the road so traffic isn't obstructed.0 -
i've had my car scratched/keyed, and my wifes. to some extent it feels as though there's no point having something new because some tw*t will want to ruin it.
do other people also have their cars keyed? this really winds me up.Remember the time he ate my goldfish? And you lied and said I never had goldfish. Then why did I have the bowl Bart? Why did I have the bowl?0 -

I know exactly how you feel - I've had mine keyed 3 times in about 3 months. Cost me about £500 so far...
Its got to the point where I am going to have to park my car else where at night until I can find somewhere else to move to. As said above, There's very little point in having a new/decent car unless you can park it on a driveway/in a garage. I am due to get a company car soon, and I dreading to think of the vandalism thats it's going to suffer.
I think there are loads of people out there that have had car's keyed, simply because its so quick and easy to do and causes alot of expense to the victim. I think alot of car's are keyed out of jealousy.
I just hope for the sake of person that's keyed my car 3 times, that I never catch them. Should I ever catch them, they'll feel the full force of my anger after the expense and damage they have caused!“Hardware: The parts of a computer system that can be thrown out of the nearest window!”0 -
Do you guys who've had this done live in overly bad areas?
Or is it simply the youth culture of today which increasingly is lacking respect :mad:0 -

A bit of both I would say!
The area where I stay is pretty rough - Full of drug addicts etc. Plus the street I live on is the main way in and out of the area. People use it as a short cut to get to other area's of the town.
Also the youth culture to blame. The parents dont care what there kids are upto or where they are by the looks of things. Im 21 myself, but I have never damaged someones property (cars etc) The thought has never ever occured to me. Young people today just dont respect other peoples property anymore. I have had people throw curry/spray fizzy drinks over my car on a saturday night, as they walk home from a night out.
These are the parents of the future - things will only get worse.“Hardware: The parts of a computer system that can be thrown out of the nearest window!”0 -
Some little s*** snapped the wind mirror off my OHs car when it was parked outside my old house. Luckily my next door neighbour spotted them doing it and wend out and 'restrained' him while his OH called the police.
The police came round and promptly arrested the youth who was taken to court and given an ASBO. He was also made to pay for a replacement wing mirror for my girlfriends car. There is some justice occasionally.0 -

Surprised your neighbour wasn't arrested and the yobo let off scott free. That's the sort of justice we tend to hear about these days. In my case it's the scum I have for neighbours who mess with my car . When I get the brakes and exhaust mount sorted (assuming that's all that's wrong) I'm going to park it out of the way.0
