Well, I have run AVG, also installed Spyware Blaster and Adaware. Put the pc on tonight and I couldn't get online, so I really panicked. Tried to copy some photos and docs onto a CD but the CD wizard wouldn't complete and said there was a problem. Why me! I had this 2 months ago.
Anyway, I need to sort my backup as in before I got to bed tonight, cos knowing my luck....so I need a link for Mozy, the free one with up to 2GB memory, does anyone have a link? As I have looked and there is the one that you pay, but want to make sure I get the right one.A cloudy day is no match for a sunny disposition~ William Arthur Ward ~0 -

Who is Mozy?
Its like Carbonite (online backup) but I have it on good authority, its a bit better, and I get it free for memory up to 2GB.

I have found the free bit on that website. Have just downloaded it, its backing everything I want kept now...relief!
Just wish I knew, after my pc crashing 2 months ago, why its doing it again. I don't have a lot of stuff on my pc and have all the security.A cloudy day is no match for a sunny disposition~ William Arthur Ward ~0 -

Follow through the following and look for any errors around the time of the crashes...
Click Start
Click Run
Type eventvwr
Click OK
You will see the event log window for you PC
Select the Application section
Scroll down the logs to the time your PC last crashed and have a look for any warnings or errors around that time and post back here.
They will be obvious to you, bright yellow triangle or red circle
Double click on the error or the warning (You will have to do each one seperately) and then record what the Event ID was and the Source.
Post the info back here and I will see if I can help...0 -
