OK am new here so Hello everyone lol
I am currently with Virgin Broadband and run on 10meg, i run without a phone line.
Recently, my internet loses it connection for a few seconds, i would be signed out of MSN, web pages wouldn't display or they take a long time to load/open.
Virgin Broadband is rubbish.
Are there other possibilities i could look at to have broadband without a phone line (i don't see the point in paying the phone line rental when i have a mobile phone with enough credits). Like another company that supply broadband without a phone line?
I have looked into the satellite broadband, what in your opinion is best and will the satellite broadband cope with my internet usage (am online a lot).
Tiscali offer free line rental and up to 8mb broadband for £10, but i would have to get my phoneline switched on by the post officer, which could cost £110 of the wires have been removed by BT.
What in your humble opinion would be my best option?
Thanks guys

satellite broadband, whuich you say you've looked into, requires a phoneline for uplink (unless the tech has changed in the last couple of years).
best option, talk to vm, complain, get them to fix the problem, perhaps the problem is your pc (downloading?) not vm?Utinam logica falsa tuam philosophiam totam suffodiant.0 -

I got VM to do a connection test and they said everything was fine.
On the modem, the cable light is on and the power light is on. The send and recieve flash and sometimes don't do anything. The PC light is off.
I run on Widnows XP, have done a virus scan and found nothing.0 -
you'll need a phone line for any other ISP, other than if you use mobile broadband - but thats expensive if you don't use it for very general things
and by the way, don't use Tiscali0
