I always park behind a disused house on Anfield road.Run by a couple of lads and always full ,1 min. walk from ground, never any problems although i know sounds dodgy- cost £5 and cars are "watched" during game. Alternatively there is a BP garage I think and probably against company policy across the park form Anfield people charge £5 to park behind.Again done before and never any problems.I used to just type in Anfield Road into Sat Nav and always found a "non official" car park cheap and safe near ground. Hope this helps0

I always park here too (Hope Valley School). Never had any problems with the security and it's not usually too bad getting away. And - I assume - the school benefits from the money. A good cause.

Given it's an 8pm kick-off, any ideas what time I'd be able to get into this car park?0 -

Do you mean 1) how early could you arrive or do you mean 2) by what time is it likely to be full?
1): I don't know. It's the school holidays so it might not be the same as normal (when, presumably, they have to wait until all the kids and staff have left before they can open it). I think the earliest I've ever arrived is about 1 1/2 hours before kick off and it was open. If you're planning to arrive much earlier in the day you may well find some on-street parking in the roads around the ground. Most of Walton Breck Rd is residents only but I think there are a few non-permit spaces. Also there is often some non-permit space in surrounding streets (Venice St, Venmore St etc) if you arrive early enough.
2): I guess I generally arrive approx an hour before kick off and have never had any problems getting in. The game isn't sold out so I wouldn't imagine you'd have a problem. As the other posts show, if you get there and it's full there are plenty of other options.
This is the first game of the season so I don't know whether or not they will have raised the prices, but if I remember rightly it was £6 last season.
About a 3 or 4 min walk to the ground, straight down Walton Breck Rd.0 -
The
your comments are years, sorry decades (shellsuits) note the spelling little boy are well out of date
so go and GROW UP and go and play with your toys
this is a forum, where people ask/seek assistance or help
not where people post childish and out of date comments
no doubt you will reply with a childish remark concerning your football team (M@FC), well like I said grow up and don't bother
!!!!!! sake, get a life.
By the way, I know how to spell thank you, clearly, the above was a typo.0 -
Thanks to everyone that gave sensible replies!
We went yesterday and I thought I would post my findings....
The Stanley Park car park (on the junction of Priory Rd and Arkles Lane) would be a perfect place to park except for the fact they have now made it LFC permit only. Unless you're a regular and are prepared to get a permit, you're not going to get in. The stewards at the entrance tried to direct us to another secure car park elsewhere, but it seemed to be far away from the ground, and we couldn't find it anyway!
We ended up using the school playing fields (Hope Valley School) on Walton Breck Rd. Got in no problems (we arrived there at 5pm, for the 8pm kickoff).... secure and cost £6. And only a 5 minute walk to the ground.
For those of you that want to park at Everton.... I phoned up before departing, and I got the impression that once the season starts, you may need a permit here as well. Wouldn't have needed one for the friendly last night, but it would have cost £10, and would have been a longer walk from Anfield than Hope Valley school.
Anyway, thanks again for the advice, and hope the above info will be useful.0 -
I also went yesterday.
Parking was the least of my problems
Started 'queuing' to pick my ticket up at 7pm. finally got my ticket and got into the ground at 8:30pm and I'd say there were several thousands people still behind me waiting to get there tickets.0 -

Not much use to you now I guess, but you could have got your tickets in advance over the phone (thats what we did).
At least they delayed the kick-off by 15 minutes, although citing "safety reasons" is a bit of a farce!0
