Is everyone getting excited?? :j
I will be excited once the car has been recieved tomorrow.
I'm such a planner I won't be able to relax untill I've checked in the hotel.
Im waiting for Disney to approve parade and show times for Saturday before i start :j :rotfl:
You would think having been 4 times already this year there would be nothing left for me to see.:p2008 Wins -FORD Disneyland Paris trip.0 -
thanks for all the posts, I never thought of looking here to find fellow winners! :T
There are 6 of us travelling from York; we're staying overnight on Thursday at the Ashford travelodge, then a 7.35am crossing on Friday. The car chap phoned today to say he's delivering to us first thing tomorrow and we're to expect a black ghia (dvds?! but only two screens... fighting in the back of the car!).
I got my folder today, also got the error message in the mail merge. Would like to have recieved something more 'substantial'. NO headlight stickers yet - better come tomorrow!
Don't know anything about the meal vouchers but the last time we went we bought them and they can be used at more expensive places and you pay the difference. At least none of us have to pay to eat on Saturday night - but the kids will be ravenous by 9pm!
We've got a 2.35pm crossing back on Sunday, would love the 5-7pm crossing i asked for, what do you think my chances are? I can try.... would get us back to York late but what fun!
See all you moneysavers there!!:beer:laurmurph0 -

Can you let me know how you found Ashford Travelodge, I've booked for me and my daughter to stay there in Janaury and I've read some not so good reviews on the place.2008 Wins -FORD Disneyland Paris trip.0 -
we looked for the closest place to stay near the tunnel. I was quite cross that i booked two rooms and breakfast in advance and had to pay more because the competition details hadn't been sent to me. I had to pay extra for the flexible price rooms, which i could cancel AND I had to pay extra since I booked it within 7 days of staying: cost £53 instead of £39!
I thought we'd get the hot breakfast buffet but the travelodge doesn't do one early enough for us to get to our crossing. I rang the travelodge and spoke to a lovely woman who assured us she'd place our rooms next to each other and provide us with a picnic breakfast since she couldn't do the hot buffet. It's good value as 2 kids are free for every adult but i was disappointed that i couldn't cancel the payment for it through the website.
It will be absolutely basic, I'm sure but it's very handy for the tunnel and we just want to get on the road to Disneyland! :jlaurmurph0 -
What time is your car being delievered to you tomorrow? Was it at the time you requested?2008 Wins -FORD Disneyland Paris trip.0

I requested Wednesday night, but everyone else got there first. So we were given Thursday 'am'; chap confirmed we'd have it between 9-10.30 and then asked where the train station is! I can't wait in but my OH, who isn't going, will be able to officially receive it.
We're planning to leave York about 6.30 tomorrow night and drive down to Ashford.
the weather isn't looking great for Friday but looks better for Saturday. Fingers crossed for all of us!laurmurph0 -

I haven't got my car yet either.
I asked for a weds delivery but they couldn't do it and asked if thurs am would be ok. That was the other week and I've heard nothing yet. I hope it turns up tomorrow, I can't fit 7 in my Mini!
We live in Derbyshire so we decided to stay in a hotel before our 7.35 tunnel on fri. Every Galaxy I see I'll want to know if they are fellow comp winners. Give us a wave if you are, or shall we do a secret signal0 -

Yes give Eurotunnel a ring with your booking reference - the telephone number is a little bit earlier on in this thread. They are quite helpful and able to change times to ones they have available. Give it a go - its worth a try. We were coming back at 9:48 Sunday morning and I've changed it to lunch time on Monday so we get an extra full day in Disney on the Sunday. Now looking for a hotel for Sunday night. We are also on the 7:35am crossing on Friday morning. Leaving home at 2am. I think I will make an MSE sticker to put on the car so people can recognise me as an MSE'r :rotfl:
The "chap" delivered our car at 9am this morning. He was asking how to get to the train station, hubby felt bad that he had to go and walk to the bus stop but my hubby didn't have time to drop him there at the time.0
