but I dont think she noticed, she was too busy worrying about the contents of her safe.

Nice one Dusty - I've only been here (flying) a week or so - but I feel welcome anytime - and it's a brill way to let of steam when things aren't going so well. I have been so impressed by the support given - and received -on this thread.
Tag - glad the cookies are back - only 2 - thought you'd have had 15!:rotfl:
Nicki :grouphug: for you - I know my first year as a single mum was hard - even though it was a mutual decision and no third party was involved - nevertheless it has to be got through somehow. As you may have read I have had 1 civil conversation with exH in 3and a half years and he has the kids regularly. Take care of you.
Now I'm off to carry on catching up while I drink my :coffee: and wait for DS to wake up so that I can get on with the decorating. At least the apprentice (DD) has surfaced.
Love and :grouphug: to all - cos we all need them!

HI there,
Well im in for today feeling a lot more positive today, so am going to try to catch up on some of the other tasks for yesterday and Monday.
Soapie, I really hope your son gets things sorted with his wife.
Skintscotslass, the Gers are playing terrible just now. My hubbie and my son and his friend were one of the ones who bought tickets for the game last week, and had to stand in a queue to wait for their tickets, and got them AFTER the game had finished:mad:  . My wee boy was heartbroken that he never got to see them.
Toottifrootti, she is certainly no friend of yours. Next time she asks you to do somethng, tell her your busy, and remember if you ever ask her to do something for you, and she refuses, remind her of all the things you have done for her.
Anyway, hope everyone is well today, and I will come back later and let you know what I got done. Dont plan on going out today as the weather is terrible, so hopefully I will get quite a bit done.
Hugs to everyone.

Are you a fellow scot then Jackie? Couldnt believe the farce at Ibrox last week! What a nightmare, your son must have been so upset.

Oh.. I have 6 boxes of bits.. you know the christmas ones they deliver to children overseas... what do I do with them?? Noone collects them here any more I don't think.. and I have some empty boxes.. HELLUP!! They are filled, just need wrapping.
Try googling Operation Christmas Child or Samaritan's Purse
They're the same thing - I know they will accept bits to boost 'completed' boxes or to replace items they cannot send over. They have year round depots. There's one near me but I dunno anout The Land of Make Believe.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning all, no list for me toady as it it's the great reunion of DSs and their Grandparents who have been away for months in France. They are coming over lunch time and I promised them bacon butties as apparently you can't get bacon in France.
Getting really depressed about my wedding, nothing is organinsed and I've only got 5 weeks and 3 days to go. We where meant to be going camping instead of a reception but it's turning into a huge party totally reliant on favours from other people who probably won't come through.
If I had my way we'd just run off to a Hotel together after the register office and everyone else can get on.
Also my soon-to-be brother-in-law (and best man) is getting out of rehab (a few hundred miles away) the afternoon before the wedding!!!!:eek:June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

Morning all
Well I was supposed to do allsorts last night when I got in and achieved nowt in the end. Best friend phoned and was quite upset. Her son is married to a foreign lady and they have two kids. They've had a few problems. The wife has booked a flight and is taking the kids back to her country. The son is devastated. Does anyone know if he has any rights on this matter?
He does have rights especially as he is married to the lady but he needs to put things in place now before she goes. He must urgently see a solicitor. Once they are out of the country it will be so much harder. Are they single or return flights? MInd you even if they are return it's no guarantee.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

I would suggest he gets in touch with a solicitor sharpish!! Or even citizens advice should be able to guide him - better to try and do something before she leaves the country I would have thought IMHO

could do better - must try harder

The wedding should be about what you and soon to be hubby want and nothing else! Hope you get it sorted. Weddings are so stressful:oThe trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0
