Looks like some good flying going on today - is flying linked to the weather i wonder?

I did about an 1 1/2 hour challenge just now while ds2 is napping. Just having some valuable me time now - won't get any otherwise.

    Today i've:
    • washed load of my T-shirts and stuff for hols/hung on airer
    • scraped my car along the wall by parking on the drive so the kids playing football don't scratch it  Luckily only the tyre and not the paintwork. Could have beat myself up for being so silly when i did it, but not as bad when i looked properly at it.
    • washed a random load - our bed sheets - other light stuff i found lying around - hung up - bottom sheet needs to go in TD, but that involves going out in rain, going into garage, emptying TD from yesterday, bringing it all in and folding it, all while battling with a soggy cat who is so daft he is asleep on a plant pot at the back door
    • done an hours ironing - DS's clothes for wedding, more clothes i took off airers, plus some from the existing ironing pile, so i must be making progress
    • sorted out outfits for both boys for wearing on journey on Friday
    • cleaned the hob and top of the grill
    • cleaned the front of the cooker and the WM
    • washed up breakie and lunch dishes
    • washed a denim load
    • sorted a bag of clothes i don't like that don't fit for charity shop (kept the ones i like that may fit in a couple of months when the baby belly is more toned, if not i'll get rid then)
    • sorted a bag of clothes for textile recycling collection on Friday - we have too many clothes me thinks
    • caught up on watching 2 things on tiscali plus box while feeding ds2 earlier
    • got out the jamas for bedtime, put in bathroom ready for tonight.
    • packed DH's clothes for hols
    • rescued stuff from TD - folded and away, our bottom sheet in TD
    • charity shop stuff out in car
    • denim load now on airer
    • found some more stuff for recycling bag
    • groomed cat for about 15 minutes - he is so badly tangled we had to cut some clumps out yesterday so now he has a couple of bald spots - if only he would wash himself
I give up for a bit now - i know i need to feed DS2 once more before picking up ds1 from nursery. I may pop to the charidee shop with the stuff on the way, and i need to pop to mum's shop to get the bits i need for the hols, but that is in the village DS's nursery is in.

nicki big hugs - you are doing well, but you are bound to have off days. You are doing the right thing by getting out for a bit and not sitting dwelling

dusty sorry you are having a 'teenage tantrum' day. Same to poohbear. As with all phases in our kids lives, it will pass, and we will miss it at some stage - says she who is wishing away time so i can have some sleep at the moment. ;)

Right, best wake ds2 up, and get the show on the road - typical that he sleeps longest on a day when i NEED to go out. Oh well, hopefully he will be ready for bed tonight.

    Bye x

I spent Saturday afternoon and evening doing HHC on each room so the house was spotless for our visitors on Sunday. It went really well, and only the LR that is also a playroom has slipped back. I am going to try really hard to keep on top of it now that it is done via dailies and a daily HHC to cover the main rooms. Need to train the boys for the LR though - trying 'cant go to bed until the floor is tidy' without much success.

Since I got home I have done my invoicing, dealt with and filed the post and eaten lots of toast. Whoops. More tea anyone?

Hugs for those in need especially Kazwookie, Dusty, Poohbear and Nicki.

Also I made this http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/6591/lemon-tart-with-summer-berries for Sunday and it was seriously nom nom nom

Good for you Tia!!! :T :T :T What made you decide to focus on Plagiocephaly?

DS1 has Brachycephaly and I was always told it would go away on it's own, it never did and then when DS2 developed severe Palgiocephaly, they tried to tell me the same, that it would go away as DS1 was sitting infront of me with a clear view of his flat head. And then DS2 had a STARband (which made the difference from 22mm to 13mm) and I got involved in the scottish petition and trying to raise awareness and get the NHS to at least start giving parents advice on how to avoid it. Now the NHS just refuse to talk about it and I'd like to change that.

Gald your getting on with yoru application! Good luck!!!

Tia that sounds really interesting. When DS3 was a baby he had a really flat head - we called him flat pack baby as he looked like he'd come in a box. It did round out at he grew - I tried cranial osteo but I don't think it did a thing. I guess what you are talking about is a more severe problem that does not right itself?

All -thanks for making me feel better about my teen - he is being fine now. Sometime I think I expect too much and sometimes it is my payment for being the vile teenager that I was. Thing is the relationship between my mother and me never really did improve past those teenage years, we are just not the personalities that get on really and I don't want that to happen with my kids. Polly you are right I'll miss having a full house when they are all gone.
We have had HHR (row), HHSD (slamming doors and shouting), HHS (Strop), HHC (cry). The last one was me, but now I am back in charge I feel much better. 6 foot 2 inches squaring up to you can be a teeny bit worrying but don't tell them that.

Pooh this made me smile and a big hug to you, how old are yours now?

    I've done quite well

Finished yesterday's list (except paddling pool clean due to the weather)
    Done living room
sorted first lot of toys to go
planted lettuce seeds and put away bits in front garden
    more mask making

Swimming next and intend to do today's holiday list of making a food list for the tesco delivery to the cottage.

    GGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Just replied to an ad in my local friday-ad (free ads paper, tho it was on their website)
for a welsh dresser, free to collector, which I desperately need as my cabinet is broken with all my stuff stuck in it. I called them 30 minutes after they posted the advert and they said call them back when I know when it can be collected as I said I don't have a car but my SIL will collect for me.
Well I called her and she was just around the corner so could collect now, I called them back and they said "sorry, someone's coming to collect it at 5!"
If I was them I have told the next callers I was waiting to hear from someone and would get back to them, not say yeah come and get it.
I told them how desperately I needed it as well, I'm so gutted I cried I hate people letting me down!!!!!!!!

Sorry, rant over. At least DS2 is asleep at last. Must start dinner.

    Hello everyone,

I'll be honest and admit too skiving this afternoon. I got home from work at
12.30 pm and then did the following - had lunch whilst catching up on yesterdays Doctors, watched Neighbours (which also involved a mini snoozette) Made a couple of Smoothies with DD. Caught up with the thread a bit. Watched Ghost Whisperer. Caught up here a bit more and then DH came home from work.

The later is my cue to do something whist he sits watching crap on the TV that I can't stand (i.e horse racing, football, war films or a western) At the moment it's football. No , now it's horse racing.

Off to start my list which is way back on page 15 (Valli page 15 ;)). Will post again later.

Mostly it does right itself as baby gets more mobile, but only when it's mild. My nephew had mild plagio but was a very active baby so we knew it would resolve as he got older, and it did. But what I'm talking about is severe Plagio, where you can notice there is a serius problem. In DS2's case, his face was squint and looking at him face on you could see the back of his head on one side, but not the other. Or for example where there is a neck problem meaning they can't move their head the other way. Severe cases. But they still don't advise on how to help it. I'm not saying every baby will need help, but those who do could have been helped with simple advice. Plus for the few who do need help, they should be able to get it.

    Rant over, lol!
