ok well the one i wanted sold and he said for a little less than the asking price..wether this is true i will never know! was gutted BUT a trawl round this morning and i found 3 in various spread garages..the first was a diesel 1.9 which i didn't want, it was also quite scratched the guy would only give me £1k for my punto even though the book said £1250..it had lower mileage than he quoted aswell so left there quickly!
The next 2 are in the same garage..there was the lovely blue one but it was 5 doors and had yellow seats which dd disliked! he said 'oh we do have another in the corner' and there it was my gorgeous balck one i love more than the blue!! tried not to look too keen and said id'e go back with df this afternoon..

Off the top of my head it is a 2005 petrol and has 29k on the clock..absolutely spotless and 3 door so have rung df all excited and hope it hasn't gone! Just spoke to DVLA though as our v5 form has our old address on and she said unless the garage is prepared to take it we have to change adress first then wait grrr...hope they will be nice.

Inactive i remember the same comments 3 years ago when i bought my punto and we have had it all that time with very little problems so not really listening to the bad sides of it as all cars have their bad points. I just wanted to know if the price was good..

Too late though as we bought one this afternoon, got it knocked down a lot and loads of extras too, i still think we got a bargain!

i have just spotted this car in a local garage and love it! my sister got finance with them and they appear to be quite reasonable in amount paid on top in comparison to what i paid in a loan..anyway the car is a:
    2005 05 Reg MG ZR 1.4 105

    Price:
    £4,995

Could i knock them down and what is reasonable? is it a good price for the car?

They are a nice looking car and have proved popular in the last few years, however in my opinion the car is not worth anymore than £4500 max retail, remember though it is a buyer’s market so don’t appear too keen or the salesman will spot your enthusiasm and be reluctant to discount the car, but offer £4250 and settle on max £4500

Hi we paid £4200 for it we also got 12 months tax and MOT, 6 months warranty instead of 3, we asked him to let us have my current brand new tax disk back to claim back and he said yes so hopefully around £100 there too..
I am well pleased and it was up for £6k! so think we did quite well..deffo the most expensive around but the best condition and mileage (29k)!
