HELP!!!!
Ok the story goes like this :
Into a 6 months contract with O2 and the carphone warehouse
Tarriff : Combi 100 ( 100 texts, 100 Minutes) £25 per month
This Tariff is absolutely PANTS!!
Phone bill has been £75 for the last 3 months!!
(
Most of this cost goes to Texts - sent 450 last month!
Current Handset K750i
Dilemma : Should I abandon this contract, downgarade and leave it to run?
and get the W800i from O2 for £30 per month on 500minutes , 500texts?
Ebay the K750i - to pay the existing contract?
Please help im desperate!!!!

I'd phone up O2 and tell them you are thinking of leaving, even at 6 months. If they can't offer you anything then your idea of getting a new contract would probably seem the best bet. If you are spending that much a month then they might try something to keep you.0

anyone else have any suggestions??0

i was in a very similar contract. i downgraded this week and paid off the remaining months (240 mins i never used, no texts and i always used about 300). my bills crept up from £25 to £45 to £75...
do you need all those minutes on the new contract or do you just text?0 -
mostly text but most minutes i used about 200, tried calling the carphone warehouse today but couldnt get throught after 30 min !! gRRRR
Did you then get a new contract?0 -
CPW are crap0

I'll second that!!!
The CPW provide all your customer service and billing etc etc...
They buy network mins from O2 and then sell it on to you, so theres no point in phoning O2 as technically your not a direct customer of O2 but a direct customer of the CPW.
If you had bought the phone from an O2 shop or O2 Online then you could call O2 to see what they could do to for you but as it stands at the moment all contact must be made thru the CPW
Sorry for the bad news!0 -

no moved to o2 online payg, top up £10 a month and get 300 free texts OR 100 mins/texts. top up £15 and get more free minutes. it's as good as a contract, ok there's no free phone but you get to keep your credit instead of it vanishing on rental. you can also get more free calls or texts for 3 months as they are doing a free bolt-on promotion.0 -
will not take a second contract from CPW - they are appaulling!
cant get through and the bunch of monkeys in there store is even worse!
ARG
So who do u recommend I go through?0 -
are there not any O2 tariffs you could upgrade to with the existing phone, like the one you mentioned perhaps?
if not, keep that and either -
stay on same tariff and get an O2 payg for the texts
or get a new contract as well0 -
Get one of the O2 Talkalot PAYG sims that give you 300 free text messages per month if you top up a tenner per month and fit a dual/ghost sim adapter into your phone.2ax wrote:stay on same tariff and get an O2 payg for the texts
Then you just need to keep a count of your contract texts and remember to top up the PAYG sim on the same day (ie, the 1st) every month.
And get rid of that contract as soon as the minimum term is up!0
