Deleting/Closing My Account?

This site is meant to be friendly, but it doesn't appear that way to me.

I've asked several genuine questions on here, but for whatever reason have been abused by other people. For example, I asked a question on behalf of a friend and then got accused of lying saying it was me that I was talking about, despite being told that I would never be able to legally do what it was I asked about.

It seems here that unless you're part of this cliche then you're a troll.

This is really one of the worst and most unwelcoming forums I've ever been on and I would like my account deleted if that's possible?

And why on earth do the mods never actually moderate?

If you've reported a post or thread recently, it might not be seen by the Forum Team straight away................because they like to have some time off at the weekend, like many people.;)

I'm sorry you feel like leaving us. I'm not in a clique (I used to be in the sandpit group, if you can call that a clique:o ) and I'm not a troll either. I hope you'll see that there are some friendly members here.

Why not read and post in some different boards for a while? I hope you'll get a much better reception and view of the wonderful community that is MoneySavingExpert.com.

Im not trying to be nasty (just curious thats all) but why start a thread and ask this question (account deletion), why didnt you just log off and not come back ?

Unfortunately, this is exactly the way Titch has behaved on the student moneysaving forum and benefits & tax credits forum. She continues to tie herself in knots with contradictory stories and then projects all the problems this causes onto the other members. I know of 2 threads where, having caused enormous arguements, she deleted all her posts and then got the threads closed.

if you feel you have been abused report the thread

If you dont like what you see why not just not return - what would cancelling your account achieve?

Titch there is plenty of support or good advice on here,but having contributed to a couple of your threads and having had advice tossed back in my face because it wasn't what you wanted to hear,I feel you are not looking at this logically.
You didn't like the replies re the laptop and DLA as it didn't go the way you wanted it to,and when people have asked you to clarify something in order to help you more,you ignore the question.

Truth is lots of people have tiffs on here-sometimes it's better to sort them out in a pm. The majority of people on MSE are very generous and genuine,but you need to learn to not shoot the messenger when the news isn't quite what you were hoping for.

well, when you sent an abusive PM to someone whose advice you didn't like, i can't see how you expected more 'friendly' responses. plenty of people, myself included, have tried to help you. unfortunately, not all advice is what anyone wants to hear and in a lot of situations there is no magic solution to fix everything in one go. that's something you'll need to really understand for life in general, not just how to post on a forum. either it's all a big clique that no-one can join (which clearly doesn't seem to have an impact on other newbies), or it's your attitude that has caused all the upset.....
