    Whatever you buy it will be old in a year or so, my computer was pretty nifty when I first built it, but as the months roll on better bits and bobs appear, I think the trick is knowing when to turn a blind eye to all the new stuff, or when the wife gets an idea of what your paying, while its hidden in its case I'm safe, it's the bank statement that lets the cat out of the bag.

    I am currently looking for a new pc for the last 6 weeks but I cant decide what to get.

    I planning on spending £500-£600 on pc, £300 on monitor of there abouts plus new kvm switch (must take two dvi's 1900 resolution)

    £900 will get you a nice 20" iMac. It has a mini-DVI output which will support an external display up to 1920 by 1200.
