I thought this might have been a cheap way of getting an MOT But be warned they get their money one way or another! They find things that strictly don't need doing. Like brakes and tyres.0

I've used nationwide auto many times before. They've been good to me anyway.
You can even get Tesco clubcard points and also use them there too.A shadowy flight into the dangerous world of a man who does not exist.

Just had my Camper van fully serviced & mot'd with points they didn't take the mick and threw in free AA cover for a Year via a pack they give you worth £40.
However they are no longer giving clubcard points only taking them !
Right wheres all the 1000pt wine deals "Didn't I try to Warn them I said !"

EVERY time I have used them they have told me that my brake cylinders need replacing, even the day after my MOT. I think they must have a job lot somewhere.0

Not every centre will try and rip you off. If they do it'll be centre specific and I'd imagine most won't.
Even going to a main dealer doesn't mean they won't try and rip you off - it depends on the garage.
A half price MOT is great and no reason why people shouldn't go there. If they tell you something needs doing then ask to see the problem. If it looks fine to you and they refuse to accept it's ok then you have no choice but to either have the work done or go somewhere else for your MOT (and pay again).
I would always argue something if I don't believe it to be true.
I wonder if trading standards would be interested if they are constantly telling people work needs doing when it doesn't?
My local centre didn't charge me for diagnosing where my oil leak was coming from so I can't complain about them. I didn't even have the work done there!0 -
Don't book anything other than an MOT via this offer as on the prices for services + MOT there is no discount.
Best to book the MOT via this offer and book a service seperately online for a 10% discount on the service price.0 -
Im feeling physically sick right now as a month back when i used my clubcard vouchers to get my mot done they then told me £335/ worth of work doing....incidently it was the brake cylinders need replacing replacing and also drums! i feel so cheated now as i went there not only to use my clubcard v's but also as national had ripped me off!

I've dealt with them before in York, Herts and EDinburgh and I honestly think they are top drawer. They once saved my girlfriend about £180 when a rival outfit claimed they couldn't separate the two parts of her exhaust and that her catalytic convertor had gone anyway! Funnily enough they did it easily and the car flew through its MOT at a different garage a few months later.
I've used a few different outfits since I've been driving and I recommend these guys and Budget. You can't go wrong with carpet bombing...0
