Vodafone - listen to voice messages free from PC
This applies to both PAYG & Pay monthly phones
This is very handy, if your tariff or inclusive bundle does not include calls to voice mail box.
How to access Voice message calls from PC ( This equivalent to dialining 121 or 242 and paying upto 40p per minute )
- Register your vodafone mobile no: for free email at https://www.vodafone.net
- When you have a voice mail you get a notification (either text mesg or a symbol on the phone screen)
- Now login to your vodafone email account (using your reg user name & password )
- you will see an email message from "<phone no>" and "voice message" as subject. (At this point do not try to open the file attachment which is lucent sbc format file )
- click "My folders" on the left hand side
- now click on "create new main level folder" on the right hand side and give it a name(e.g: voicemessage )
- now go back to the main inbox, select the voice message (tick box) email and "move to" voice message folder.
- go to voicemessage folder using "my folders link" and open the email message
- Now the attachments will show as "wav" format file , which you could open with windows media player.
- Open the file and listen to your voice message - yes, for free.
Cheers
