Marks & Spencer sofa really uncomfortable

  • Have had the same problem with the 3 seater version of this sofa. FIRA state no evidence of manufacturing fault and wrote a good report of how well they plumped up the cushions. The sofa still sags in the middle. I fail to see how the manufacturing can not be faulty if the sofa becomes unusable over a year. Any further feedback on other people's cases would be great.
  • Buntyfarmer I would also love to hear from others. Ity appears are we both in the same situation I found a review site and there are so many reviews of the terrible quality of M&S sofas and appalling customer service.I only wish I had found it prior to buying the furniture
As an update re my problem , I have since spoken to west yorkshire trading standards and a professor or consumer law who both advised me that I do not simply have to rely on the Ombudsman as these items are not of satisfactory quality, are not lasting for the time would be expected, are not free of defects and are not durable under the Sale of Goods Act I am entitled to a full refund

I have now written a lengthy letter to M&S detailing all the problems 'once again' and stating that unless the full amount is refunded within 14 days I shall take the matter to the small claims court
The saga continues !!!!!! whilst I continue to sit on a sofa that has no support and sagging cushions despite the inners being replaced at the end of July !!!!!!

Why are you still using a product you apparently want to reject?

Until they agree to refund my money and collect the furniture

The point I'm making is you are still using it which implies acceptance....get a van and return it ASAP....you need to be more proactive I suggest.
