I always thought you were of the female variety?

    Yes! :D
Isn't it only men that hide in their greenhouses?

    Apparently not! :p :rotfl:

My green househas only been up a few weeks, i could have hidden it but didn`t want to.
It`s got pride of place and i love it, i actually think that it complements the rest of the garden as well as reminding me to keep popping in to see what needs to be done.

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p
  • No we dont hide ours, we like to see the "fruits" of our labour! But we did try to hide next door`s oil tank which is right next to our fence by training ivy over it. It was well clipped and tended so not to cause damage and working well until the neighbour discovered it after about 6 months, and ripped it all out.

We've a new oil tank, which will be hidden - we hope - behind trellis, was thinking of putting greenhouse near it, as well!!

Well, as it's kinda big, (25') I thought I'd better hide it behind a leylandii screen, which also keeps off the northerly winds. So, although we don't see it, our rear neighbours' upstairs windows look right into it. Because of that, I keep the bubble wrap on permanently, so they can't see me.

Oh dear, just realised I'm the neighbour from hell! But, seriously, when we came here, and before the leylandii or anything else stood in our empty expanse of garden, we did have a really annoying and nosy neighbour at the bottom of the plot, whose son was also 'odd' and did unsettling things 'birdwatching' with binoculars. I can't tell you how satisfied we were when our greenhouse went in, right between them and us.

My next doors daughter used to stand at thier landing window, first thing in the morning, naked watching me water the garden:eek: this was after I and SIL had cut down the conifers that grew between us.It was enough to make one concrete over the garden, she is as wide as tall and 25 stone:eek: and a face fit only for radio,as they say.
If you think this has helped make my day and hit the thanks button:beer:

Well, there's someone for everyone......but in our case we had a rather stunning blondish next-door-neighbour who used to sunbathe a lot, and my wife was also not a bad looker, though not really in the sunbathing topless league. Anyway, we began to notice the strong correlation between our neighbour's son's 'birdwatching' and the presence of ladies in the garden!

Next door allowed their apple tree to grow unchecked, I planted the greenhouse, the leylandii (kept as a thin hedge) and a small 'wood,' for the birds. The result 20 years later is, I'm afraid, less late evening sunshine for some folk, but as they're now into loft conversions, they must expect us to maintain our privacy. The 'birdwatcher' moved out years ago.
