You're just sour because you missed the lemon boat. I've made lots of juicy returns.
I have some affordability figures that prove how it is becoming more possible for first time lemon buyers to enter the market. It's lemon entry my dear Watson.

I hope I'm right in thinking this has become the worst lemon pun thread, otherwise I may start to look more stupid than normal.

I think it is those BTS (Buy-To-Serve) guys who own restaurants that are driving the prices up. While inflation is rising on the one hand due to the higher money supply over the past few years, lemoney supply is on the decline thanks to hoarding by the BTS brigade.

Actually I think you will find it is the recent Buy-To-Letters that have bought all the 'lemons'.

..attempts to post yet another pun, with the slightly feeble excuse of being a valid comment on the state of the housing and BTL market.

With my local market stall (and the others soon to follow) announcing massive increases in bills to come this winter, I feel this is going to have a double edged impact on the housing market. Firstly those struggling to meet repayments at the moment, and currently falling onto the SVR 'trap' will be hit very hard by the increase in their lemon costs, along with the certain general inflationary effects of these rises.

Every pound less borrowed (to buy a house) is more than two pounds less to repay and more than three pounds less to earn, over the course of a typical mortgage.

It's all a matter of over-inflated assets, after all, the market is pricing lemons as though they were melons !!!
It's always the grass that suffers, irrespective of whether the elephants are fighting or making love !!!
  • And all the time people were saying limes were dead money. I sit here with my Cuba Libre, laughing at those poor fools.

Lemons aren't like houses(*), you're comparing apples with pears.

As we speak, NuLabour are taking the right decisions for long term, not just for lemons but the whole citrus market.

(*) New build flats excepted, of course!
