Good post. Shame I can only thank it once.

To head further OT, have you ever tasted a fresh, ripe lemon off a lemon bush GG? My father in law has a bush in his back garden in Sydney and it's a revalation. The ones in the local supermarket seem to taste of battery acid by comparison.

    There's the genius...

I thanked doozergirl twice once (see number 3).

Never had a fresh, ripe lemon but I shall make my life's mission to do so. If ever I go to Sydney, I'll look up Generali in law.

I have so enjoyed this thread - top posts.

Anyone anagram lovers tried one of these (clicky)?

Next time I go to Aus (Dec 2009 probably) I'll post you one back.

You don't need to go quite that far - loads of lemons seem to grow more or less wild in Israel.

The current citric crisis was caused by all those Americans who sliced up lemons and sold them on...

As an Old Styler, it doesn't bother me. I make ersatz lemons from old tennis balls soaked in vinegar, to enjoy with my bathtub gin!

Indeed, even closer to home..... I saw some last week growing outside the tea rooms in Abbotsbury Sub-Tropical Gardens. A nongenarian friend in Wiltshire also has some in his glasshouse all year round.
