Ive just finalised everything with Eon and am leaving Npower but am in two minds also, Eon say my monthly repayments will be around the same but I cant understand how this is possible if the unit prices are increasing. I also get a £80 payment from NP once a year for dual fuel (I think) but will not now get this although the Tesco points may compensate, I dont really know. Still got cooling off period to think about it, will make final decision in about 10 days time.2008£3002009£13002010£15002011£41952012£21942013£1494

I fixed with BG a few hours before they announced the price rise. I'm probably going to exercise my cooling off period rights and go back to Click 5. On my projected usage I'm paying 35% more for my electricity compared to Click 5 (OK, no price increase yet but they 'only' put leccy prices up 9% on their standard tariff!!). Plus if I want to switch before December 2009 I have to pay BG a total of £75 for the privilege! I'm used to switching 4 times a year to trouser £200+ in cashback, I think that's going to be my tactic next year as well.
The more I think about it the more I think we are playing into the greedy energy company's hands (Martin is a hero of mine but I STILL think he may have got this one wrong, the energy companies must have watched him on GMTV and collectively rubbed their clammy hands). Only time will tell but I'm by no means convinced capping/fixing is the no-brainer Martin seems to think it is.Call me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0
