Having a large balance with mbna, phoned them up after advise on here to see what they could do....well do you know what as I am a long standing customer with a large balance they reduced my interest rate by almost 10%:T
It's such good news have to share it with you all....has cut my monthly interest by £100.00 a month so that rather a lot off the balance I had been working on for a few months so thank you all for making me see the light.....and all it took was one phone call.

I agree with redkelly, the worst they can do is say no. I've never heard of even one example where they called up and actually ended up with a worse deal! You're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.0 -

I have an MBNA (Virgin) card.Yesterday I got my statement.I'd already cleared my balance a couple of months ago and they have upped my limit to 9k from 5k,dropped the interest from 24.something to 16. something with a free BT for nearly a year. They seem to be trying to reel everyone in again.0

As an existing customer, I've been offered 0% until Feb 2009 on all purchases for the next 2 months
Items costing £500 or more have the interest free period extended until May 2009
I didn't even call them - they just sent me the offer.

Well he gave them a call and they said they could only drop the interest rate 5% and when he said he would look at transferring the credit then they said they could only drop the interest rate in steps and to phone back again on the 14th?

Oh well, he'll phone back then and see what they do but I suppose 5% is better than a kick in the teeth.0 -
MBNA now offering me 0% with the usual fee until Jan 09 on balance transfers or 0.9% until April 09 and again the usual fee.0
