I travelled to the states last month after doing the form and filling it in - took a copy along as well and the immigration guy in the states looked at it with clearly no clue at all what it was.
I assume you do not need any proof and the information will just come up when you arrive but its all very unclear what will actually happen when it does change over - assume airlines will check you have it prior to flying on the computer system like they do with the australian visas.Making saving money part of my life.0 -
I too have made a mistake not unlike yours, can you advise me on what you done to correct it and how you managed to resolve it please? It seems the support team forget to reply. Does anyone know if this is the correct email to try to change any errors made? I might have got this wrong in my reading on this thread...
me and b/f are off to NY in 3 weeks and he's just been issued with a NEW passport (Spanish one)
This 6 month bit....is this just for one with 6 months left or new ones under 6 months old?!!?
Sorry if it's a daft question but just need to make sure before i apply to ESTA xx

Sorry your question is not at all clear - what are you actually asking?
your b/f will have to get an ESTA under his new passport number (assuming that Spaniards are eligible for the VWP - they probably are but I haven't checked). 6 months doesn't come into it at all.
For your own (British presumably) passport I'm uncertain. Under the paper VWP your (British) passport just had to be valid for the length of your stay in the USA. The ESTA site however when it first came out enforced a 6 month rule (at the date of application, not the date of visit). Whether this was a glitch that has been fixed, a glitch that hasn't been fixed, or intentional I don't know.0 -

sorry, thats because i'm not celar in my thinking! I was just worried that he would have had to have had his new passport 6 months before he could enter the USA?! But i'm not thinking that sounds stupid!?

I am going to book a holiday in USA holiday is in about 3 weeks time
Do I need to do the ESTA form and get it authorized before I book the holidayNeeding to lose weight start date 26 December 2011 current loss 60 pound Down. Lots more to go to get into my size 6 jeans0 -
I previously applied for esta authorisation and both were approved (for me and my bf). I have the application numbers and tried to check the status on the website. However, when i entre all of my details, it comes up saying "No application".
Does anyone know if this is because it has been approved already or should i apply again?
HELP! Flying tomorrow!!0
