The support people at ESTA are usually very helpful. Hope you get it sorted out. Your post also prompted me to ask, I know you have to put in the flght number when you travel, but do you have to do this every time you fly?
I've read that in the future ESTA will have to be authorized before you will be allowed to book your flight, so you won't necessarily know the flight number when you apply.
So how will that work then? You leave the flight number blank (it's not a mandatory field) and add it later. Or not if you arrive by land or sea.0 -

OK, that makes sense (didn't know it wasn't a mandatory field) thanks

My wife and I have authorization via the ESTA site to travel to the USA under the Visa Waiver Programme until 2010. However, I jsut went to the site to put the flight number in, and it came up as " Authorization Expired" Has anyone else had this problem. I have reported it to the helpdesk.0

I have done the exact same thing so easy done , emailed esta they confirm that from 15 oct should be able to amend due to them changing the sysytem.
this has not happened and they will no longer reply.
Can any body suggest what we need to do ?0 -
Must be sod's law. Just after I posted. I tried again and managed to put the flight information in. But it is strange that they only ask the airline and flight number. They don't ask for the date of travel, so what's the point?0

The scammers are at it again. if you visit http://www.esta.us/esta.html?gclid=CJ3b4t7Jv5YCFQWc1AodCguzyQ, you have to pay almsot $50 for the privilege!0

Something else I don't understand about ESTA. I ahve already raised the question of not having a travel date on the form but, what do you you do when you travel again to the USA? Do you have to put a USA address, carrier and flight number in every time you travel?0

Hansi,
All those fields are optional, so no, you should not need to fill them in each time you travel.0 -
