Had a lovely meal on Friday evening when I took daughter.

Waiter was a lot more nervous that the waitress that served us the first time.
They recognised daughter as I'd booked her in the previous night with my mother. The food was really enjoyable and all cooked from scratch from fresh produce - unlike Hungry Horse and Beefeater - and the house wine better than most.

I was talking to one of the trainers and the policy was that they were only seating about half as many on training days as they would expect to when open. If so, I feel sorry for some of the new staff on Saturday night.
They did have to recruit loads of young staff that have never worked in restuarants before - they didn't have many experienced apply and they had LOADS of applications - maybe because there is such low unemployment in MK. It does explain all the mis-haps and muddle ups - but I guess thats the purpose of 3 solid days of hands on training - and that was after they had practiced a lot on themselves first.

One thing that did impress me was that they all have to try all the dishes and get to know them during training so that they can advise the customers.
