Has anyone received tax certificates on their Icesave accounts yet? It's the only ones I'm missing0 -
It is quite common these days for banks not to issue certificates of tax deducted.
However you ususally have to complete a form to register for interest to be paid without tax deducted so it would be normal to assume that unless you have completed such a form then the interest paid will have had tax deducted at 20%.
This is normally ok if you are a basic rate taxpayer and have other income over the tax free personal allowance as the tax taken will be correct.
However if you are a higher rate taxpayer or you have not used up your tax free personal allowance then you may have to pay more or could be entitled to a refund of the tax deducted!

So do I - great piece of software, and similarly been recording all transactions since early 90's. I'd be lost without it. All recs made easy - I even do monthly accounts & operate a budget.
It's a shame you can't load Quicken on Vista.
Have to keep it on an older PC using XP, as our latest desktop and laptops are Vista.0 -

Has anyone had their tax statement from Icesave yet? I need mine for my tax credit and didn't print off statements last year, I know I should have.0

I have not received one either, I don't actually have to have one as I gleaned all the tax info from the paperwork at the time that the FSCS paid us off.
TBH I do not expect to receive a tax cert from them, I just assumed we had to work out our own tax liability.0 -
Sorry I did not see this thread, as you can see I am a newby. So I started a new post today were I stated. that I emailed info on the icesave site and got the following email immediately in response:-
