Birstall just down the road ! £75 to join a gym seems very cheap. Is this for a year or some sort of joining fee?

  • Small world!! Yes it is £75 joining fee then £35 a month. Don't mind paying monthly but everyone else I speak to thinks it is a lot to pay to join. I might be moving soon so might only go for 6 months.

Apparently if you work for certain companies or if you are a student you can get it free......

I tend to think that is quite a lot in total I assume thats some sort of peak rate membership allowing you entry at any time. You could look to going on a "restricted hours" membership if you can find the times to be agreeable. They do seem to have a student rate although no idea what it is you would have to haggle. Isn't there another gym up Huddersfield road Total Fitness I think. Have you tried that might be cheaper. You say you might be moving in 6 months so be careful what your signing. If they want you to pay monthly it will more than likely be a credit agreement they want to sign and you will be agreeing to and liable for paying the full 12 months!
