I cancelled my hsbc credit card as they wouldn't give me any good deals. How long do you reckon before i can apply to them again and use their 0% offer for new customers?

This is a strange one-because the card technically doesn't get removed off your banking profile. The earliest would be 12 months but even then, it may show that you had closed a previous card down and affect the new application. Thus the promotion is only open to new customers. I have had an HSBC credit card for a few years and I got a 'welcome' offer, but I appreciated that was to get me interested in the card-I think it was 0% for 6 months on purchases (that's how long ago it was-lol)-but I knew this would end, and I would go onto normal terms so that's the way it is I suppose.Loan-£3600 only 24 months of payments to go!!!

I work at one of the callcentres for this company, though not really in the card opening side of it, but from what I understand if the card was closed recently, certainly within 6 months, they won't go through an application for a new card but just ask you to write to the cards dept to reopen the old one. Not sure if you use telebanking at all, but after a while they'll start offering you new cards anyway, because the sales prompts pop up on the screen with whatever offers are being promoted at the time.DFW - DEBT FREEEEEE!
