Grrrr! Laptop wireless problem

    how is your desktop connected to the internet? Wired? or Wireless? Are you using seperate modem and router? What is plugged into what?

    p.s. Have you ever had a wireless connection to your laptop?
  • This pc is running off the wireless network as always and up until now so has the laptop been with no problem. I have unidentifiable wireless router (bought from Refresh if any help) plugged into Virgin cable modem which is plugged direct into the wall.

    Are there any lights on the router? Is there a light to indicate the wireless connection?

    if the desktop uses a cable to the router then the wireless section make be broke?
    try the laptop with an ethernet cable first.

    ps. make sure the wireless button is pressed/active on the laptop. the number of times ive seen this button not on, is amazing.
