Hindsight is a great thing. Yes, it would have been included in your BR. I hope the 5.5% is for the lifetime of the debt.

First things first, sort out your I&E so you end up paying as little back as possible through your IPA - if you get one.

Then something on here (I forgot what its called but I'm sure its in the DFW board) that tells you how long it will take to pay back that £8,000 if you pay a bit or a lot extra per month. It will also end up saving you a lot of money in interest.

Good luck - you'll manage. Just think of all that other debt you've managed to get rid of!

Yeh guys ref the tax etc, this is for myself and my partner. I drive a van and my GF drives a rover.

The OR is happy for me to keep the van as long as the finance company is, its in both our names.
The expenditure is for two of us...a couple.
  • arhh that explains it, didn't realise it was for two vehicles.

Edit: sorry i haven't followed your threads, are you both going BR?

You haven't both gone bankrupt so you cannot include her car expenses in your I&E if it's just your vehicle expenses.

  • arhh that may make a difference to your soa then.

I can't remember how it works exactly, but i know others do.
Its something like you only put down your partners contribution and not there full wages. This maybe a good thing for you.
