What are the chances of them not replying to me?????????
You would then have to refer the case to the Information Commissioners Office as there is a potential breach of the data protection act. the ICO will rule on whether there has been a breach of compliance and if they rule in your favour the entry’s with the CRA’s will be removed.
However the ICO will not be interested in the accounts themselves or the fact that it is a "default" notice, their role is to ensure compliance to the data protection act only:rolleyes: It’s hard enough remembering my opinions - without remembering my reasons for them :rolleyes:0 -
Can you explain how exactly i go about this please???
Matt P.S.........thankyou!0 -
So i will still pay the debts monthly until there paid off, but my credit wont be marked as a "default"? And they cant just wack the default straight back on there?

Gameover, mortgage rules may have changed since I was advising on them (5 years), but I know in my day, everything was at the discretion of the mortgage company.
In all fairness, if you have 5 defaults then yes it will affect you. If you had one for a small amount compared to your income, then this can often be overlooked - much more than that though, and you will find it tough.
The only time I ever saw a number of defaults ignored was with a Notice of correction, but it was an incredibly sad story. A guy's wife had died, and he had gotten depressed and then sacked from work. About 6 debts went to default, but were all fully repaid once he'd got back on his feet about a year later. I think it was only the compassionate side that made the bank overrule it - I've seen other Notices of correction which have been completely ignored, so it's a long shot, and you'd have to have a sorry tale to tell......
Not sure about getting them removed, but I would be interested if anyone has a way, as I have an old Vodafone account which I forgot about and defaulted - only about £100, but still stopping me from getting best credit options.
I thought it dropped off soon, but apparently I got another 18-24 months to wait.0 -
