Defaults, Credit Files

Hi
I signed up to equifax gold membership to see my credit file whenever i want, online.
I have 11 debts on it, and 5 defaults, 0 CCJ's.
The defaults are small debts, Equifax said the lender can take the default off without any hassle at all.......
Im hoping with some persuation, they will take them off, if i offer to settle, they take the default off 1st. It just takes a simple phone call.
I think i have leverage, as i havnt paid a single debt for 3 years or more.
I am now on a debt paying, credit file reparing mission, any advice welcomed.
What easy credit can i get to pay back monthly?
How can i get them to take the defaults off?
Thanks

most creditors will not be black mailed over small debts into fully removing the default, they would rather let you suffer and learn your lesson.
Some large debts with DCA’s can be “negotiated” but again most are just intent on causing you as much pain as possible:rolleyes: It’s hard enough remembering my opinions - without remembering my reasons for them :rolleyes:0 -
Well, my counceller wants to take charge and try to get them off, i want to get a settlement and pay them monthly, but only if the default is fully removed.
Shes going to say its put me into depression and anxiety, and i want to pay it, but take the default off ive learnt my lesson etc........
Otherwise i wont get credit for 6 years!!!

Would it be cheeky of me to set up a debt agency, buy all my debts, and remove the defaults? LOL!!!
Any other ideas mate?

Defaults are there for a reason and they will not be removed. The only thing that they can do is mark them as settled (If you agree and pay a settlement figure or pay them off in full). You can repair your history, just use a company like capital one for credit repair.0

I am afraid the only thing you can do is play them at there own game and ask them to prove all details for every debt.
i.e
1) signed original credit agreement
2) copy of full statement of account
3) copy of default notice
if they are unable to provided these they are unable to legally enforce the debt for No (1) and if they fail to provide (2) & (3) they are unable to legal submit the data to the credit reference agency’s.
Write to the creditor asking for the above information, they have 28 days in total to reply to No 1 before the default becomes unenforceable, and 40 days to reply to (2) + (3) before the information they have submitted to the CRA’s is unenforceable:rolleyes: It’s hard enough remembering my opinions - without remembering my reasons for them :rolleyes:0 -
But wont ANY defaults on my credit file stop me from getting a mortgage etc??0

Wow!!!
What are the chances of them not replying to me?????????0 -
